Youth Alive Adrenalin 2006

Adrenalin 2006

What a huge night. 8000+ youth, 1000+ commitments for Christ, and a cracker of a show featuring Australian Idol winner Guy Sebastian, Soulframe from Queensland, the Nubian Gents and of course the "big thing" Youth Alive WA band. There was the huge "ADRENALIN" mirror-ball, video screen and the catwalk stage. It all added up to an experience never before seen at a Christian event in WA. You had to be there!

Guy Sebastian sings at Adrenalin

Guy Sebastian sang a bunch of his latest songs on both nights, and also shared a testimony of the most important thing in his life - his relationship with Jesus. The crowd loved it.

Friday night was kicked off by a 1-hour pre-show that featured crazy Karl and a real highlight of a performance by the band Soulframe from Queensland. Their music was as excellent as the message that went with it - a message of hope for a hurting generation of youth. Make sure you keep an eye out for Mutto as he participates in Australian Idol!

Some of the crowd found themselves almost surrounded by the stage as it featured a catwalk which made an experience like nothing else. You didn't know which way to look!

Adrenalin mirror ball in action

The huge Adrenalin mirror ball was spectacular.

The main event began with a hip version of Hillsong United's "Take It All" - the crowd really got into it, and then the visual feast continued when the enormous "ADRENALIN" mirror-ball got into action during Planetshakers' "Majesty" - lit by lights and turning around, it sent beams of light out in every direction. It really went off.

Soon after, the Nubian Gents came out in their white attire and dazzled with their moves and their singing. Can they can jump!

Guy Sebastian - the first ever winner of Australian Idol (and many would argue the most talented winner) came out and sang some of his hits as well as new songs. I think there were quite a few fans there who came simply to see him sing!
